Salary
The salary scale of JE Electrical in PSPCL is: 10900–34800+5350 with Rs. 10900 is basic pay. Rs. 5350 is grade pay. Apart from this, there are many allowances added to the salary. A junior engineer gets above INR 50,000 in-hand salary.

Selection Procedure

The eligibility criteria for the post of JE in PSPCL exam is that candidate should possess a Full-Time Regular 3/4 years Diploma in Electrical/ Electrical and Electronics/ Computer Science/ IT Engg with minimum 60% marks or Full Time Regular BE/ B.Tech/ B.Sc Engineering in Electrical/ Electrical and Electronics/ Computer Science/IT or AMIE in Electrical/Electrical and Electronics/ Computer Science/IT Engg with at least 50% marks from Institution of Engineers(India) Calcutta
IT Engg with a minimum of 50 %.

Candidates have to take an Online Test comprising of four sections these are:

1. General Knowledge
2. Reasoning Ability
3. General English
4. Questions related to the concerned discipline of the post applied

The merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks secured by the candidate in the Online Test. The minimum qualifying marks in the Online Test for the general category is 45% and for reserved category is 35%. After that, candidates who made it to the merit list will be called for the Document Verification round, where all the original documents of the applicant will be verified.

Promotion Policy

JE is promoted to AE after a span of flawless job in the department for five years. After that AE is promoted as SDO after completing nine years of service. In between he is promoted as AE or AEE within 5 years and then as Sr. XEN in next four years and then finally as SDO.
